Foamed plate
Foamed sheets made from sponge or cellular rubber
Sponge rubber or cellular rubber are foamed rubber qualities which are mainly used for gaskets where only very low surface pressure is possible because they adapt particularly well to the sealing surface.
The difference between cellular rubber and sponge rubber is due to different manufacturing processes. Sponge rubber has open cells and a tight outer skin. The outer skin makes sponge rubber particularly suitable for mechanical stress and abrasion. However, if the outer skin is damaged, the sponge rubber can soak up liquid. Cellular rubber, on the other hand, has no outer skin, but closed cells. Cellular rubber is therefore always water and airtight.
Cellular rubber sheets made of CR
CR cellular rubber is closed cell, without an outer skin and has good formability, good abrasion resistance and good resistance to ageing and weathering.
Cellular rubber sheets made of EPDM
EPDM cellular rubber is closed pore, without an outer skin and has good formability, good abrasion resistance and good resistance to ageing and weathering, as well as broad chemical resistance.
Cellular rubber sheets made of VMQ
VMQ cellular rubber is predominantly closed cell, with an outer skin and has good formability, good abrasion resistance and good resistance to ageing and weathering, as well as a wide temperature range from -60 to +230°C.
APREN foam sheet made of PU
The PU moss rubber sheet is open-pored and without skin is very well deformable and has a very low density.
Rollen good and cut-to-size sheets available from stock
In addition to original rolled goods, cut-to-size sheets are also available, whereby our online cut-to-size configurator supports them. For punched flat gaskets, please contact us for an individual contact request.
